Jamie's First Tooth
My little foof cut his first tooth on Christmas Eve. Mommy and daddy being as observant as they usually are only noticed while doing some last minute shopping in Sandton, that the foof constantly had his hand in his mouth, and on checking to see what was going on, a tiny little tooth was sitting there.

Alexanders Christening
On the 23rd December, Jamie's friend from school, Alexander or commanly known as chicken, had his Christening at home in the Garden.
He was in High spirits and not a peep was heard out of him, however his little friend Jamie, couldn't keep his mouth shut, and daddy had to stand up and move him away!

The boys played nicely out in the garden and Jamie even had a little go in Alexander's swing and of course loved it!

Chicken and foof
I thought I'd post some picture of Jamie ( foof) and his friend from school Alexander ( chicken).
This was taken the last week of school when the boys decided to have a tug of war over dummy's attached to dummy chains.
Jamie and Alexander are a week apart in age and seem to really enjoy each others company... that is for the moment, I'm sure as they get older we may have to deal with a few spats!
They are really cute to watch and can keep each other entertained for quite a while, so it free's the two mommies up to have a glass of wine and a chat.... or cup of coffee, if it's before 12pm.
Glenburn Lodge
On staurday the 9th December, 6 of us chicks headed of to Glenburn lodge, about 30 minutes out of Jo'burg. Jamie was left with dad, who was in charge of everything . It was his first time alone with dad, since I was back in hospital 4 weeks after he was born.
We arrived at about 3pm, and immediately change into our cozzi's, went to the pool, found the bar and ordered a few rounds of drinks.
We then climbed into the Jaquizi, with our drinks and the pad kos
that Steven packed for us and lazed about for the rest of the afternoon.
that Steven packed for us and lazed about for the rest of the afternoon. At about 8pm, and 3 tequlia's later we headed back to our rooms to shower and get ready for dinner.
A Buffet dinner took place with a few more tequila's, and then a crazy idea to crash both wedding that were being held at the lodge.

We plucked up the courage to crash the Ndlovo wedding, however when we got there, there were two large bouncers at the door, so that plan went out the window.
The other wedding was on the far side of the lodge, and we were to tired to walk the whole way there. So we climbed back into our cozzi's and back into the jaquizi for more laughter and fun.

The next morning we were up early nursing a bit of a babalas, had a great fried breakfast and then headed back home.
Gareth coped very well with Jamie, so it's just shown me that I can go away more often and he'll be fine with his Daddy!

Jo's Birthday Party at Fabz- 3rd December
Jo had a much needed get together on Sunday the 3rd of December to celebrate her birthday at Fabz Estate in Lonehill. It was great to see everybody again, because the year had gone by so quickly and we'd missed out on lots of news.
Fabz, had set out a large tent in their garden, next to the river. The had a buffet service with a lamb on the spit and all the lekker trimmings.
There was a jumping castel and water slide and pony rides for all the kids...
There were so many babies and children, it was great to see them all playing and interacting. Jamie had so much fresh air he slep right through that night!
We lazed about in the gardens and had a lovely meal with lots of ice cold beer to drink.. it really was fabulous.
I've included some more photo's of the afternoon...

Jamie can sit!
... and no, not yet on the toilet. He is now able to sit unaided, all on his own without constantly falling on his rather large head. In fact he's sitting so beautifully he is able to multi task well and concentrate on keeping his head up while play with his toys... Such a cute little sausage
He has surprised us all, as we never thought he'd do this on his own, especially since any
physical work is not his most favorite past time. He's not even a big fan of rolling over, because I think it requires too much effort, But when I do think about it, It must have been Daddy's 42" plasma, that did it for him, because now he can sit and watch TV, instead of lying flat to watch TV.

Our House
Well, we've finally done it, and bought our new little house. We can across a fixer upper, and have now taken on the task of fixing this place up.
We have three bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms.
As you can see we also have our own little swimming pool, and eventually we'll also have some grass rather than sand. We are also adding a small little flatlet onto the house so Carola and Owen can come and stay whenever they want.

There is quite a bit of work that needs to be done on it, but we are going to start with the basics and move on from there, depending on how much it costs. it does however need a good coat of paint and the windows all need to be fixed, and that of course is number one on our list.
Most of the inside work is cosmetic, and that can be done over time. The inside will also be painted to help lig
hten it up!
hten it up!And the best is, we now have a dining room, yes a real one, where we can put a table and entertain.
Now we just need to find the perfect table.

Leanne's House Warming
On Sunday 26th November we went for a braai, to Leannes new pad in Modderfontein. In true South African style, the day was filled with Boerewors, beer and cricket.
Heidi and Russell took a break from their unpacking and came for a bite and a beer. Heidi, sporting a lovely pregnant belly is due in March 2007.

Jamie had a great time as well, being the only baby there he had lots of cuddles and hugs.

He showed of his new sitting skills to everyone at the braai and did very well not to fall on his head.
My New Toy
Last week Thursday the 23rd, Jamie's dad bought him a new, very bright toy. He has taken to it immediately and now we've had to move the furniture out the way to allow him to zoot around. We are limiting his time in the walker, but he's loving the fact that he's
able to be mobile and can chase after the poor cats!
able to be mobile and can chase after the poor cats!Already gareth has had to remove all his play station cords and gadgets because Jamie also love to pull... anything including the cats tails and dog's ears!
